Just a thought...

...I have been toying with the idea of adding a pair of Supertrapp's universal slip-on's to my '00 EX250 primarily for the ease of tuning to smaller jets (any jets, really). The benefits being not having to re-jet the carbs for altitude variations (great time saver, just add or subtract discs) and also only having to carry a few exhaust discs, the bolt allen key, and a tube of high-temp anti-seize (weight savings, maybe). Personally, I've wanted to go back to the factory / smaller jets, and tune the exhaust to the carbs, instead of the carbs to the exhaust. Perhaps, it would be an equally (or, more) effective alternative to adding an O2 source / enhancement (NO2, forced induction, etc.). The costs over the long term, I'd imagine, would be much less than maintaining a turbo or NO2 system AND the time savings may bump you up in the IBR rankings.
