|Inline petcock? |
My petcock wasn't sealing. I looked for aftermarket petcocks, but found that the reviews pointed out that they weren't looking enough to give clearance space for three Ninja 250 gas tank. I read about rebuilding the petcock with new rubber parts. Before I ordered those parts, I opened up my petcock to run through the process and better understand. I stretched the spring for the vacuum seal and reversed the gasket or seal for the switch. That was enough to make mine work for now.
I saw that you can buy new rubber internals for around $25 online.
I also thought of leaving the stock petcock open and adding a cheap inline petcock just like many of us add an inline fuel filter. I'm curious if anyone has tried that.
