Installing a gear indicator is quite simple. Since this model doesn't have a ready-made connector, you need to connect a few wires: power, ground, and signals from the speed and tachometer sensors. You can order the necessary spare parts online with sea freight shipping, read more about customs clearance here. After connecting and securing the display on the dashboard, all that's left is to ride down a quiet road (or lift the rear wheel) to calibrate the device — shifting through the gears one by one while the indicator memorizes each of them.
