Like Wes said, the Ninjna 250 far surpasses the Rebel 250 in top speed. The Rebel uses the same seriously low-tech engine as the Nighthawk 250. But, those engines are extremely reliable, even easier to work on, and can be pounded just as hard day in and day out as the Ninja motor can be.

Plus, if you change the jet in the carb, the bike gets a big boost in power. If you decide to go nuts, and swap out the single carb for one that's bigger, or for a pair of carbs instead of just the single one, it wakes up even more. But it still doesn't compare to the high revving Ninja motor.

But the gas tank on the Rebel leaves alot to be desired. WAY TOO SMALL.
