| NY Ride Info & Instructions |
If you plan to attend this year's NY Ride, please email to wolcott@dmcom.net with all the following information:
Your full name -
Number in your party -(m,f)
Your full address -
Your phone number -
Your email address -
Emergency notification info -
Approx dates of arrival & departure -
To those of you who have not attended prior NY Rides, this event takes place at Dick Wolcott's place just outside of Oneonta, NY. The dates will be June 28 through July 1. You are welcome to come for the entire time or any portion of it - or come early and stay late
.
The house is mostly empty, so we throw mattresses all around and sleep dormitory style. There are 2 bedrooms which are reserved for couples. There is only one bathroom, but lots of outdoors to use at your discretion. There are motels about 15 miles away if you don't like our accomodations. We handled 13 people last year with no need for tents. If we have more than that, I'll notify the late registrants of the risks.
Our philosophy is to keep things simple and cheap. Except for the snacks and beer, we eat out locally and cheap. (Remember Verns?)
We like to do all day rides which you do at your own pace. No racing or aggressive riding. No drinking before or during rides. Please - no drugs, especially before or during rides. The roads are good, but not as good as NC or north GA. Lots of good twisties.
I will be out of town riding in CO & UT from May 22 through June 20, but will be back in time to make sure everything is under control.
Lets hope for good weather. I hope to see a bunch of you here this year.
Dick Wolcott
