Happy New Year! As another calendar page is turned and we start thinking of the rides we'll make in the upcoming year, I hope you'll take a look at a new venue. The Tour of Honor is a season-long riding event visiting selected memorials and monuments across the U.S. -- there's a lot of great ones out there with moving stories behind them.
California, Nevada, Utah, Texas and Florida all have mileage-worthy memorials to visit. And definitely check out the ones on Oahu if you're thinking of visiting Hawaii this year.
Several of you have already signed up and we've made a year-end donation to the Wounded Warrior Project on your behalf. The Wounded Warrior Project is an excellent organization helping severely injured combat vets returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. We hope to get more sign ups and make another, larger, donation at the end of June, so pass this along to others who might be interested in joining up. Swag: If you're thinking of signing up for the ride and want one of the trophies, we suggest signing up sooner rather than later so you can hit the ground running when the sites are released February 1. If you don't have your rally flag by then, you might be at a disadvantage for the trophy awards, 38 in all. We think they're pretty cool.
Registration is $65 for riders, $55 for passengers. Fee includes shirt, rally flag, pins, finishers certificates and a $10 donation to WWP.
