Vernal Equinox 12hr rally | March 19, 2011 | Oklahoma

Hello riders,

It's time start thinking about spring time and warmer temperatures! On the last day of Winter, The Rally will host the Vernal Equinox 12 hour rally / scavenger hunt.

Once again, rally riders may begin anywhere within the state of Oklahoma, with a valid OK receipt at or after 0500 on the 19th. While I may recycle a few bonni, the majority will be different than the past three rallies. As past participants can attest to, the bonni are mixture of; easy, interesting, challenging, crazy, and sometimes even insane! Rest assured, each rider will end the rally with a grin on their face.

* Rally start: Saturday, March 19th, 2011: 0500
* Rally end: Saturday, March 19th, 2011: 1700
* DNF begins at 1710 (penalty points accrue between 1700:00 and 1709:59).
* End location: TBD, within a 25 mile radius of Tulsa, OK.

In conjunction with the rally, there is an optional RTE (ride to eat) for those who wish to join the post-rally festivities. Details about the RTE registration will be forthcoming.

The Rally has teamed up with 'Hoagy' Carmichael to support Hoagy's Heroes and his long distance charity rides philanthropy. Your registration automatically supports Hoagy's Heroes, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. After the rally, each rider will receive a donation receipt, that can be deducted from one's tax return.

Rally cost is $70, which includes your donation to Hoagy's Heroes.

To participate, all you need is a camera and a willingness to learn about some OK heritage & landmarks.
