| Northern Virginia Saturday July 27th Ride |
- Where: The sheetz in haymarket: 15315 Washington Street, Haymarket, VA. Take exit 40 off I-66, go 15 south a few hundred yards, and it will be the only gas station on the left.
- When: 10am, Saturday July 27th
- Experience Level: Medium
We'll start from Haymarket at 10am and it should take about 4-4.5 hours to get back to haymarket, including a quick stop for lunch in the middle of the ride. The route will basically be going southwest of 66, over skyline drive, into the valley, then up the valley back to 66. The pace will be a bit quick in some portions, top speed is around 70mph which we'll try to maintain through turns as well. There often isn't a lot of traffic but sometimes people will pass on the double yellow. Don't pass if you don't feel comfortable, I'll be riding sweeper and do not mind running at the slowest pace. There aren't a lot of road changes in the route so if people want to take off and do a faster pace that's fine. I'll be taking it easy, running sweeper on my 250, so no one should feel rushed.
There are two 250s planned to be there on this trip, including myself. Other non-250s will be there and all bikes are welcome, cruisers may not be able to keep up unless the rider is proficient. If you're new to motorcycling this ride is probably not for you. But if you have a year under you, or if you feel confident, please join!
