Hi folks! Just joined this forum. From Prince Edward Island, Canada.
I bought a used (less than 9000 kms) 250 on Monday. 2009, red. I have had many bikes over the past 30 years, I bought this as a day to day commuter (my other bikes currently are a Vmax and Vulcan 1500). I love this 250!
I want to change the gearing to have less revs at highway speed. I have done this a few times before on other bikes.
I am considering 1 larger on the front and 2 fewer on the rear. I am wondering if anyone else did this much of a change (I know some people just changed the front (+1) or the rear (- 2 or 3). Wondering the results if anyone did both.
I would still like to be able to hit 13000 revs in 6th. I am wondering if changing both the front and rear would make it too tall for the power the bike makes.
